GPI Calabar 24th Graduation

GPI Calabar Safe Space Programme Graduation Ceremony 2021 held on August 21, 2021.
After 3 years of training in the GPI Safe Space Adolescent Comprehensive Sexuality Education programme from a gender & human rights perspective, 48 girls graduated as Certified Peer Educators. 

They are empowered with information and skills to aid making informed decisions and mobilised for social actions.

The 2021 Ceremony had 16 graduates from the Akpabuyo Local Government Area (LGA) the safe space lessons – an expansion of the activities at the Centre. The new safe space location has adolescent boys and girls as the target audience. 

The event of the day included a Public Education Ceremony and had in attendance representatives of Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), Media houses, NGOs, parents and guardians, friends and families of the graduands.

The Coordinator of GPI Calabar Centre, Comfort Ikpeme congratulated the graduates and encourage them to promote GPI anywhere they go.
